US PSPgo price returns to $199

Sony has reneged on last week’s price cut, returning the US PSPgo RRP to $199.

Destructoid reports Sony’s US webstore has rolled back the $149 price point.

Once again listed at $199, the store now references a price cut made in October 2010, down from $249, the system’s launch price.

No official announcement has been made, and copy referencing the $149 price point has been removed.

The drop to $149 was not listed as a discount or sale, but nor was it advertised widely as an official price cut.

What did it not sell even after the price cut? So Sony figured no one is buying it regardless let’s raise it back up.

They probably realized it was selling TOO well, so they cranked it back up to see if people would still buy it at it’s normal price.

Many of the people who buy new iterations of already released hardware are ironically those who already own the older hardware

lol! Sometimes I wonder if Sony has any idea what it’s doing.
