Quick Shots – L.A. Noire looking gorgeous in twelve high-res screens
Rockstar has released a dozen new screenshots for L.A. Noire, featuring deeply significant facial expressions, moody weather and a bloody corpse.
L.A. Noire arrives on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 17 May in the US and 20 May in Europe.

Does anyone know how this game is actually going to play? Is it open world, mission to mission or what? I saw a screen shot a while back ago that had the GTA style radar on it so I am thinking it might be open world, but am unsure.
It sure does look pretty though

@2 – I have seen that before, and while it does point to being “open world” it doesnt make sense… The player is always walking (could be just for the video) and random cutscenes are triggered through out the game after a crime is commited by a random NPC? Or, do you start a “mission” type quest that triggers the cut scene?

I have no idea about that, i just hope that along with the car chases, shootouts, there will be alot of exploration too. Like the scene where the player walks around with the flashlight, investigating the murder scene.
I also wonder how the interrogations are gonna play out. They said you will be able to see if someone lies by looking at their faces during these interrogations, sounds good. I hope there’s enough adventure/puzzle elements.

The graphics are amazing. But they really need to turn down the skin sheen slider. They all look a bit plastic atm
