Ninja Gaiden 3DS to be "different" from console games, "appropriate" for handhelds

Team Ninja will use their experience on Dead or Alive: Dimensions to ensure the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 3DS is markedly different from its console brethren.

"One thing we felt when making Dimensions is that players view and treat console and portable games completely differently," studio head Yosuke Hayashi told Siliconera.

"This is something that needs to be reflected in the game design as well.

“In fact, we are discussing daily about the way to make a 3D action game such as Ninja Gaiden into something that would be appropriate for a portable game system. When we get this answer just right, we will show it to all of you so stay tuned.”

Ninja Gaiden 3DS is still in the very early stages of development, while the console-bound core entry Ninja Gaiden 3 will be playable at E3 this year.
