EVE Online developer expanding US operations

EVE Online developer CCP is shifting its US headquarters into a bigger office, and hiring new staff to fill it up.

With a head count of around 150 the US CCP team is not to be sneezed at, but will double over the next few years to employ 300 staff, GamesIndustry reports.

Two years ago, the company employed just 353 staff worldwide.

The Icelandic developer and publisher has moved its international base across the state of Georgia from Gwinett to the City of Decatur in DeKalb County. Georgia is home to over 75 digital-industry companies and enjoys strong tertiary education links.

As well as ongoing support for the sci fi MMO EVE, CCP have a console spin off to the franchise, DUST 514, and another mysterious MMO, World of Darkness, in the works.
