Stardock has just released its annual customer report, promising major announcements this year including something to do with epic sleep Sins of a Solar Empire.

Big Download reports the company teased at least three reveals over the year, stating that the gaming division “anticipates making 3 big announcements in 2011 concerning its future plans for the PC”.

Stardock CEO Brad Wardell hinted at something exciting for the Sins of a Solar Empire hopefully-soon-to-be-series.

“We will also be making some important announcements regarding Sins of a Solar Empire in 2011,” he said.

The nearly forgotten MMO Society resurfaced briefly, with a comment that Stardock may create a new business division to assist in securing funding for the project.

The report also noted that Stardock will continue recent expansion by hiring a new lead developer.

I have seen the studio getting new people lately. The studio is just down my street actually…

Stardock has my vote for one of the weirdest games companies around. First the very public breakdown of Brad Wardell through Elementals launch, then Jon Shafer (lead designer on Civ V) is brought in out of nowhere to fix it? Geeze.

I’m amazed that they haven’t gone south. I have no idea how they make any money with that awful client, but at least it got me Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943 for about 4 euros.

Still, I love me some Sins of a Solar Empire.

The first Sins got retail distribution in Europe. Hope the same happens with the sequel.

They need to drop their awful DD client and use steam. Sins is an amazing game. Maybe a sequel?
