Playable character Leia Roland detailed for Tales of Xillia
Leia Roland, the fourth playable character in Tales of Xillia, has been given the detail treatment over on Famitsu.

As translated by Andriasang, Leia is the 15-year old childhood friend of main character Jude, who works in her family’s inn and is also training to be a nurse.
Leia comes into the story after Jude, Milla and Alvin leave the capital city after being pursued by the army. The trio enter Jude’s home town, and are reunited with Leia, who is currently in training with Jude’s parents – both of which are doctors.
When in battle, Leia uses a club which can be extended in reach via a personal skillset, which all playable characters will have. As her skills progress, her club reach will increase.
Also detailed by Famitsu, is the game’s Link Arts system which is a group attack system that allows your character can link up to another. The character you control is the Master while the other is the Partner. While in this mode, your partner will lend support as you attack enemies, and the actions build up a gauge which when full, allows the master character to use a particular Arts move. The partner will follow suit, and a special group attack will ensue.
You can see one of these attacks in action below in a couple of screenshots. The game’s first trailer was released back in January. Watch it here.
Tales of Xillia is the 13th title in the Tales series, and is slated for release in Japan this year on PS3. No western date, or whether it will be released outside of Japan, is known at the moment.
Thanks, Erthazus.

@1 Unless Nippon Ichi get their hands on it, like they’ve said they would like to, Vesperia PS3 is not going to happen. It’s long past a date of release that could see it sell any significant numbers.
And localising it would be a nightmare – they would have to either somehow get every single English voice actor back to voice all the new scenes and extra dialogue again, or find completely new actors for some of the cast, which would *not* go down well.
Of course, they could just keep the Japanese voices, but then people would probably complain about that too. Because it’s the internet and people like the complain.
Move on. Just play the 360 version. It’s a perfectly complete game as it is. The amount of additional content in the PS3 version is nowhere near as significant as it may seem.
Personally, Xillia is doing nothing for me. The character design in this one looks horrible, and incredibly derivative to boot. Look forward to Tales of Graces though.

Through on X360! Need the PSN Trophies now, because thats the only thing that counts! They do Tales of Graces F so they can do the half ready Vesperia too!
