Valve won’t yet confirm Half-life 2: Episode 3 will see release
Valve staffers have refused to comment on whether Half-life 2: Episode 3 will ever be released.
Speaking to News.com.au, Valve writing team Chet Faliszek, Erik Wolpaw and Jay Pinkerton first said they weren’t ready to talk about Episode 3′s release date.
When asked flat out if the game would release at all, the three jokingly pretended the conference call had failed.
Speaking of jokes, Faliszek said that G-Man is Gordon freeman’s future self, and the grandfather of Alyx.
“Sure it was a joke — OR WAS IT!?!?!” he later wrote.
Thanks, CVG.

Whatever. I wish the press would stop hounding them, it just feeds their egos. EP3 can die for all i care now.

Valve could increase the Steam user base by making it a PC exclusive.

I don’t understand what the fuck they are doing, i really don’t. HL2 and its two episodes were awesome, it’s DAMN obvious that there’s gonna be another, judging by the end of Ep2. I don’t care for Ep 2…just give a completely full new Half Life experience with the same game length as HL2.
But this bullshit about not confirming anything, sigh…ridiculous nonsense.

I’ve updated the article title to more accurately reflect what Valve said.

It’s bloody obvious that whatever was going to be Episode 3 is going to be part of a fully fledged Half Life 3.
The press really needs to give this one a rest. It’s getting old.

The related post that says “Valve: Half-Life 2: Episode 3 “may” be shown at the end of 2008″ kind of says it all.

I want Valve to make an expansion that runs in parallel to the HL2 storyline, like opposing force and blue shift did… That was so excellent.

I hope Episode Three lasts 20 hours and it’s released as a single pack along with Half-Life: Source, Half-Life 2, EP1, EP2 and the very same EP3 in a single disk (in PS3 case) called “Half-Life: Anthology” or “Half-Life Experience” for a good price.

I’m going to wager that the ending of Portal 2 will explain more about EP3, if not give it away altogether. Comments?

If those are jokes, then what they wanna show us on the GDC 2011? Portal 2? No. Just no L4D franchise. We need Half-Life continuation!!!

I don’t get what the fuck they are doing, Half Life is incredibly successful and HL2 was a huge succces to my knowledge. It’s only normal to make a HL3, i don’t understand what’s taking them so long. Are they waiting for some crazy ridiculous powerful new technology to make the game look insane real? What is it….
