Valve’s Newell spends 40 minutes with a school marketing class

Valve boss Gabe Newell has been questioned by Tippecanoe Valley High School's sports & entertainment marketing class by weblink. This is basically amazing.

Gabe talks about Valve's history and fields questions from the teens, noting similarities between the way Valve markets its games and sports marketing in general.

Newell also mentioned that Portal was "pretty much put to bed," during his talk as well.

"We just finished Portal 2," said Newel l"It's pretty much put to bed and we're just waiting for final approvals and to get the discs manufactured."

The talk is 40 minutes long and worth every second. Have a go.

Valve's estimated at being worth between $2-4 billion and employs 275 people. It's said to be more profitable than either Apple or Google.
