The third entry in Sega’s tactical battlers Valkyria Chronicles will see post-release expansions of varying sizes.
Siliconera reports that the publisher has drawn a distinction between downloadable “missions” and “episodes”.
Missions, like those released for Valkyria Chronicles II, are short, standalone encounters which cost about ¥200.
Episodes, new to the series, may contain a sequence of missions in the context of a side-story or quest line. These larger packs are priced at ¥600.
The first episode, The Restless, releases in Japan on February 24, while a new, tank-centric mission is due March 3.
Valkyria Chronicles III is a PSP exclusive, and is yet to be confirmed for release outside Japan, worst luck.
