Next week’s Minecraft update allows you to make beds

Minecraft is getting an update next Tuesday, and apparently it will contain beds.

Players will be able to build beds, allowing the player to take naps at night. Also, another update is planned for next month which will make the last bed you slept in your new respawn point.

There’s more information on this over on RPS.

A couple videos post there, are also posted below. They are very strange.

Subscribe to CorridorDigital (the second video).

I am in no means affiliated with them, but they are a very under-rated group of video makers that have tons of other awesome videos, and I just want to spread the word out.

Fuck yes. I get tired of spawning halfway across the map each time I explore a cave and get mauled by a sudden zombie… etc. Being able to change the spawn point will be great. But… what if you die by your bed?

1. This is great news. Mining the nights away was cool back when I actually needed resources. Now I mostly want to build, and I can’t do that with the wall-climbing spiders and creepers all over the place.

2. That first video was just weird, but the second was awesome.
