Cyanide releases first shots from A Game of Thrones: Genesis

Cyanide Studio has released two screenshots of its new real-time strategy game for PC, which is adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series.

A Game of Thrones: Genesis, based on the first book in the series, the single-player campaign puts you in the battles and intrigues between the Houses that shaped the Kingdom of Westeros.

When choosing how to best your opponents, players can use either a military, economic, or diplomatic tactics.

Announced back in 2009, A Game of Thrones: Genesis will be released on PC this summer, and you can sign up for information on the game through the official website.

Hmm.. The books are very good, although he does like to kill off all the well written characters for some odd reason. I was expecting an RPG of some description, but an RTS? I guess I’ll have to wait and see how they do this then..

@1 Doesn’t he though!!! I was so disgusted with a A Feast for Crows I tossed it aside 1/8 of the way through.

Like you, I was hoping someone would make an RPG of it.

OH and casting Peter Dinklage as Tyrion was a great choice IMO.
