Tesco changes mind on £157 3DS
Cheap? Not around these parts.
Tesco’s now debunked a 3DS offer from earlier that had the Aqua Blue SKU of the console for £157.50.
The UK supermarket, as spotted by EG, is having a 20 percent off gaming consoles discount ongoing. The exception is 3DS, it seems.
“If, by mistake, we have under priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we despatch the item to you,” read section one of the company’s T&Cs.
“In those circumstances, we will notify the correct price to you so you can decide whether or not you wish to order the item at that price.
“If you decide not to order the item, we will give you a full refund on any amount already paid for that item in accordance with our refund policy in section 7 below.”
3DS launches in the UK on March 25.

Going on past form, I fully expect them to cancel all these orders about a week before it comes out.

That is bloody insane. Very rarely do you see such gaps opening between retailers in pricing. In GAME the 3DS is £229.99!
Absolute bargain at that price.

They’re playing loss leader. Its cool for people who just want to buy the stuff but sucks for smaller retailers. Its not for nothing its illegal in several countries.

Are you taking the piss? $250 is £156. I guess you’ll still buy it, allowing them to rip of the UK like this, as per usual.

@12, look at the very first comment
___
Retailers are charging $350 here in Aus, despite the fact that $300 is supposed to be the RRP here.

Every single generation people complain about the price conversions and still buy millions of them.
Nothing is going to change. Companies get away with it every generation.
Deal with it.

That was ridiculously cheap! It would have been the same price as the DSi, AT LAUNCH!

Still too expensive for a piece of crap, £50 would be reasonable.

You’ve taken his comment completely out of context, what Madlink actually said was that the Tesco price was an absolute bargain comppared to the price in Game.
