RUSE Rising Sun DLC out now for PC and 360, tomorrow for PS3

Eugen Systems RTS RUSE just got a content boost, with a new DLC pack adding playable Japanese forces.

The Pack of The Rising Sun is now available for PC and 360, and will be for PS3 tomorrow.

It costs 800MSP for the 360 version, but Ubisoft couldn't provide us with a price for the other formats right now.

The DLC allows you to play a the Japanese Army in both solo and multiplayer modes, adding 28 new units and factories in three new operations – Gold for the Brave, Ostfriesland, and For Honour.

The Japanese faction combines "ingenuity and cheap production costs," apparently, and adds Dokuritsu Kôhei – flamethrower-equipped units – to the mix.

The three new operations are:

  • Fort Knox: Protect Federal Reserve gold until reinforcements turn up.
  • Ostfriesland: Prevent the British XIIth corp. from establishing a bridgehead in Germany.
  • For Honour: "Take command of a renegade division of the Imperial Air Force who refuse to lay down arms and decide to join the Japanese garrison in a desperate and hopeless fight on the island of Java." It has to be worth it just for this.

RUSE released on September 10 last year.
