Closed alpha and beta testing to begin this year on Guild Wars 2
ArenaNet has said closed alpha beta testing for Guild Wars 2 will happen this year.
According to an official Q&A, “the feedback from these tests will determine when we will do public beta tests and ship the game.”
However, don’t get too overly excited just yet. According to ArenaNet’s Regina Buenaobra: “The existence of friends and family closed alpha and closed beta this year has changed nothing about the release date. The release date continues to be: when the game is ready.”
Still, that good news.

When they start it, it will be on their site like all MMO sites have done it before. Its not going right now and thus its not open to sign up for beta.

I never get a chance to try Beta tests
. I never get picked, unless it’s open beta obviously. Maybe this time it will be different.

If your interested in such games Dralen, make sure you get in on Rifts beta. The open beta starts on the 15th of this month. I had a chance to played one of the other beta sessions, and I loved th egame. So much I canceled wow, preordered the game, and signed up for a 6 month founders sub(9.99/month for life).
