Yoshida: Sony to confirm final NGP name “later this year”
SCE Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that NGP will get its more formal name at some point this year.
He made the remark in the latest issue of Edge.
“Well, NGP is the codename we’ve used since 2008. We will announce the final name of the console sometime later this year,” Yoshida told the mag.
Next-Generation Portable – PSP2 in everything but name – was announced at the end of January in a Tokyo event.
The portable will launch in Japan this holiday season, but a 2011 western launch is unlikely according to Sony Computer Entertainment boss Jack Tretton.

If it’s true there’s no more hardware genderations ahead (which I sincerely doubt) I’m for either PS4 or PSP2.
But they BETTER not call it PSP+

PSP+ implies PSP with slight improvements. This deserves a whole new title like PSP2.
I only mention PSP+ cause I could see Sony doing something gay like that.
