MDK 2 Wii nearing release, HD PC version still in development

The much-anticipated WiiWare port of MDK 2 has finally gone into certification, and developer IdeaSpark are seeking feedback on an upcoming HD remake for PC.

"MDK 2 for WiiWare has entered the final stages of the certification process," IdeaSpark's Trent Oster wrote on the Beamdog forums.

"We're also looking for feedback and suggestions on HD so fire away," added Cameron Tofer.

Tofer was producer of the original release of the game, and is "leading the charge" on the remake, and founded IdeaSpark with fellow ex-Bioware staffer Oster.

The company recently opened the BeamDog digital distribution service, which will host the PC remake upon launch.

Both ports of the BioWare-developed sequel to Shiny's 1997 original were announced in June last year.

Thanks, Joystiq.
