Game Informer circulation up by 33 percent in 2010

Game Informer's monthly circulation was up by 33 percent with 5 million copies sold in 2010, figures from Audit Bureau of Circulations has said.

The figures now mean the magazine is the fifth most circulated magazine in the US to date. A large part of that is due to bundles with GameStop. The US retailer bundles subscriptions to the magazine in loyalty cards.

"2010 was a great year for video games and for Game Informer," said publisher, Cathy Preston.

"Our growth exceeds industry expectations for a print magazine – especially when you consider that 62 percent of our subscribers are from the hard-to-reach 18 to 34-year-old male demographic."

Congrats to the GI massive.

Thanks, Gama.
