Angry Birds series heading to 3DS

Rovio has confirmed via Twitter it is to release Angry Birds on 3DS.

In a conversation with 3DSFocus on Twitter, Rovio said the game would be made available on WiiWare and 3DS “later in the year,” and further confirmed plans to bring all three Angry Birds games to the 3DS as digital downloads.

This includes the firm’s latest, which is a movie tie-in, Angry Birds Rio.

The Wii version has been in the pipeline for quite some time, as well as the XBLA version.

Rovio released the game on PSN in early January.

People shouldn’t be wasting their time with nintendo systems because they are all shite, they should stick with real gaming devs like Sony and Microsoft

@3 are you kidding? theres more rpgs on the NDS that the 360 and PS3 combined, hell it might be even more than that combined with psp.

RPGs can go to hell on nintendo, they are always lame on Nitnendo systems, they are much better on Sony ones.

@5 now that is wrong, quite a big section of ps3 rpgs are crap, cross edge and untold legends come to mind and the super shit last rebellion, and theres hardly any on the damn system much to my annoyance.
As for the 360 the rpg factor on that started out great with blue dragon, lost odyssey etc but started to go weak with infinite undiscovery and last remnant.

Yet the DS had a fuck ton of great rpgs (admittedly mostly j rpgs but theret he best)

@7 Sorry JRPG’s have left me cold for a good long while, ever since KOTOR, I just couldn’t get into angsty teens on metaphysical journeys of discovery anymore… Plus as baldness is fast becoming a reality, I hate their perfect hair -_-

@9 Without doubt. If anyone asked me what console is best for JRPG’s, it’d be the Ds, with the psp a close second. I think it was O’Conner who mentioned recently that Square’s best stuff recently has been on the portable’s. What’s up with that?

Brilliant. I was convinced last night by playing the machine itself that this was going to be a day one purchase…and now Angry Birds? Absolutely got me hooked now Ninty.
