Rock Band Network 2.0 due February 15

If you’re still plugging along with Rock Band or its sequel, you’ve just been given one more reason to grab the third game. Rock Band Network v2.0 goes live in February, and all new RBN releases will require a copy of Rock Band 3 to function.

Homefront gets BBFC 15 rating

The BBFC’s given a 15 rating for upcoming Kaos shooter Homefront. The game passed with no cuts made to it, and will feature 46 minutes worth of cut-scenes.
The game’s out in March for PS3, 360 and PC.

Steenberg to help out on Minecraft graphics

Markus “Notch” Persson has enlisted the help of fellow Swede and Love-maker Eskil Steenberg to improve Minecraft’s graphics
“I was asked to help them use a few graphics extensions in OpenGL,” Steenberg told Eurogamer. “I’m probably gonna help him with some graphic stuff. He actually asked me to help him with some stuff.”
Minecraft looks as though it was drawn in crayon. It’s sold more than 1 million copies. There are more quotes through there.

Bejeweled Blitz hitting XBLA this quarter

PopCap said today that an XBLA version of Bejeweled Blitz will release in the first quarter of 2011. The game is the same as e same the 60-second Facebook variant, but with “all new modes” and “16-player simultaneous Party mode and head-to-head Battle mode over Live.”

Bleszinski tags PC gamers “grumpy” over lack of Bulletstorm demo

Following news that Epic shooter Bulletstorm won’t be getting a demo alongside PS3 and 360 versions, dev boss Cliff Bleszinski has described gamers complaining at the omission as “grumpy”.
