Ex-Namco and EA execs move to Gaikai

Former EA Redwood Shores CTO Tim Wilson and ex-Namco Bandai Games America VP of online development Robert Stevenson have joined cloud-based gaming company Gaikai. Gaikai, headed up by CEO and industry veteran David Perry, said the new appointments will help extend the company’s online expertise.

Latest EVE vid details Sansha’s incursions

CCP’s put out a new trailer detailing the back story to EVE Online’s latest expansion, Incursion. Sansha Kuvakei and his Utopian dream means a huge amount of people being killed, apparently. Check out the space-based MMO’s site for more details and watch the movie after the drop.

Dead Space 2 review round-up: horrifyingly good

Dead Space 2 looks great and all, but let’s face it: It’s not always easy to trust reviews that barge onto the Internet shouting “first!” like they took etiquette lessons from, well, the Internet. Fortunately, the embargo’s up for everyone else, and now Dead Space 2 gets to face the music for real. So, how’d it fare? Is it finally ok to stop scrutinizing and start screaming?

Champions Online is now free to play

Following news last week that Champions Online lifetime subs have now been reduced by 20 percent to £240, Cryptic’s confirmed that the basic game is now completely free to play.

Resistance 2 and 3 to be bridged by William C Dietz novel

Sony said today that William C Dietz is to write a second Resistance novel, this one bridging the story from the end of Resistance 2 to the beginning of Resistance 3. The book – which follows Joseph Capelli, Resistance 3′s protagonist – is called A Hole in the Sky, and will be published this summer by Del-Rey. Resistance 3 releases later this year for PS3.

Premium packs and social features announced for Age of Empires Online

Test Drive Unlimited 2 car customization shown off in video

Namco’s released yet another movie for Test Drive Unlimited 2, this one showing off car customization in the Eden sequel. Check it out below. The open world racer launches on February 8 in the US and February 11 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC.
