New Rage shots show killer visuals
As a celebration of the launch of the new RAGE site, Bethesda just put out a trio of new screens from the shooter, showing off some lovely-looking polygons. Take a look at them below the drop. The game, id’s first new IP in 15 years, releases in 2011 for PC, PS3 and 360.

Kingdom Hearts 3DS to feature new Disney worlds
Tetsuya Nomura has told Famitsu that upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3DS title Dream Drop Distance will feature new Disney worlds.

Euro PSN update, January 26 – Dead Space 2, Bulletstorm, various publisher sales
Sony has updated the European end of PSN with the Bulletstorm demo, two new RPGs for PSP in the form of Spectral Souls II and Ys: The Oath of Felghana, a remake of the original Ys III.

Interview – “The biggest year in our company’s history,” by Bethesda’s Pete Hines
This year will be the biggest in Bethesda’s history. An RPG sequel anticipated for aeons; the first new IP from id Software in 15 years; one of the most anticipated shooters in the industry this year; and a dungeon crawler which fuses old days with new.
Post-release DLC for one of last year’s biggest hits is a also certainty for 2011, but the anticipation of future releases is likely to further add to this year’s importance for the publisher: three new studios – one from the east – are coming on board with new projects with the company and, obviously there’s a chance at getting a look at DOOM4 this year.
With so much going on at Bethesda it seemed like a good time to catch up. We spoke last week with the company’s VP of marketing and PR, Pete Hines.

Develop 2011 opens submissions
Tandem opened submissions to Develop 2011 today, so if you fancy talking about whatever it is you’re working on, hit this and fill in the form. The event takes place in Brighton, UK from July 19-21. The submissions deadline is 1 April 2011.
Speakers at the 2010 conference included Louis Castle, Tim Schafer, Greg Zeschuk, Peter Molyneux and Ed Vaizey.

Ebert: “3D doesn’t work and never will”
American film critic Robert Ebert – famed for his since-revoked assertion that games can’t be art – has said that 3D for films cannot work based on a letter written by Apocalypse Now sound pioneer, Walter Murch.

400-page Valkyria Chronicles artbook coming west
Sega’s confirmed that it’s to release a 400-page artbook for Valkyria Chronicles in the US. The book, being published by Udon, will feature character designs, concept art, mechanical sketches and diagrams. Pre-order it at Amazon for $30 here.
The next title in the series, VC3, launches tomorrow in Japan for PSP.

Atlus confirms summer release for SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked
Atlus has announced that Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is on course for 3DS’s launch period. The publisher has confirmed that the title, a remake of the DS title of the same name, will release this summer.

Square: FF Type-0 renamed due to “growth”
PSP RPG Final Fantasy Agito XIII was renamed Final Fantasy Type-0 recently because of the game’s “growth” since being announced four years ago, Square has told Dengeki.
