After being rated by the Korean Gaming Rating Board last week, Sega Rally Online’s bee announced tonight for PSN and Xbox Live Arcade.

The game “brings back all the features players could want from the popular arcade and console racers, including Championship Battle mode and Time Attack,” as well as an online mode of up to five players.

Also added is a “brand new achievement system, 13 rally cars to choose from and online leaderboards.”

“We’ve blended our hit arcade racing series with the best elements from the console versions to bring our fans the SEGA Rally experience in compact, downloadable format,” said VP of digital business at Sega, Haruki Satomi.

“Whether they’re new to the SEGA Rally series or they’ve participated in countless races over the years, we’re confident everyone will enjoy the wide variety of features included in this fan favorite.”

Game’s out later this year. First shots are below.

Weird, but ok. Never got the disc version though, this one, I’ll consider.

What’s the real difference though between this and disc version?

I am still hoping for an HD remake of the first game. The sequels were ok, but the first had some tight gameplay that is unmatched.
