Paradox insistent that fixes are coming to Magicka

Paradox boss Fredrik Wesker has reiterated Arrowhead Studios’ promise that fixes are on the way to Magicka.
Speaking with ArsTechnica, Wesker said the development team is “working around the clock,” and “will get this fixed.”
“We will make this right,” he said and also explained what happened at bit.
“We ran the game through two rounds of external QA, one of them dedicated to co-op multiplayer, including hot seat, LAN, and over the Internet. We got a lot of good feedback from the QA team on all forms of co-op. I want to make it perfectly clear: it’s obvious not enough was done to fix the online multiplayer part, as it turns out.
“With that advance knowledge, we would have held the release a few weeks to test and fix the connectivity under more realistic circumstances to avoid the situation where people cannot connect properly to games online, instead of being limited to hot seat and LAN to enjoy Magicka.”
The first patch for the game was released on launch day.

oh god… They’d better have these fixes.
Super amazing game and so much annoying bugs… But what can you say, it’s PARADOX.
Paradox Game = amazing game + annoying bugs

They’ve been very proactive and fast with their patches so I can forgive them.

The main problems are somewhat broken online AND broken balance in singleplayer (what is a nice challenge for 4 players is a frustrating chore for 1 – and yes, co-op and singleplayer have exact same balance, number of enemies etc).
But the potential is huge. If they’ll truly fix it it’ll be a great game.

@1 Shhhh, we mustn’t critisize small publishers, because they’re obviously entitled to putting out buggy releases, as opposed to the big ones, which we must kill at the slightest suspicion of an error making it into a game.
Really though, you’re absolutely right.
It’s incredible that they aren’t putting more into testing these things. It would be a lot nicer to say that “Paradox puts out some of the worlds most amazing strategy games and niche titles” without the additional “But they’re pretty fucked up on release”.
That being said, they have bet on some pretty bad games in the past.

Well, I can’t even get it to start. They could work on improving their graphics card compatibility to begin with.
