Below the break is a new developer video for Mortal Kombat where the development team chats about the much touted X-Ray feature.

Basically, what it does, is show bone breaking and muscles snapping when one character hits another. Each character has its own way of breaking bones, and each one also has it’s own skeletal system which can be turned into bone shards as well.

Watch it courtesy of IGN’s YouTube Channel.

Mortal Kombat is out in April for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Loved Goro’s X-Ray attack. It was soooo painful. Also, Liu Kang’s move is a more brutal version of his MK1 fatality.

so what, how does the game feel over all is what I care about. If its like the PS2 version where every button has to be pushed at lighting speeds to do a sweet combo the fuck you guys. Make MK more like Tekken man.

No guts, no glory. I really love the effect but the slow motion grunt sounds feel a bit repetitive.
