The Main Drag drummer and Harmonix community manager John Drake has said Harmonix aren't planning on putting Kinect features in Rock Band any time soon, but sees a bright future for the genre.

Drake told Gamerant that Harmonix is "proud" of Dance Central, and that Kinect is "a crazy and cool device", but added, "For now Rock Band 3 already has plenty of craziness in it without motion gaming being added in.”

Asked what the future holds for the glutted music genre, Drake said Harmonix's approach is tobe the best at providing an experience people love.

"One thing that we’ve learned from Rock Band and Dance Central is that people love connecting to music in a meaningful and, often, social way," he said. "We do our best to be innovative and keep pushing great experiences out into the world."

Drake's band, The Main Drag, have released three albums and were featured in the dramatic conclusion to series two of hit web series The Guild with their song "Love in Wartime".
