Test Drive Unlimited 2: Get your questions answered by Eden Games

Want to know more on Test Drive Unlimited 2 before it releases? It’s your lucky day.
Namco’s just greenlit a VG247 community Q&A for the open-world Eden racer. That means you ask the questions.
We did this last year at the publisher’s pre-E3 event in Barcelona. Some big stuff came out from that. We’ll pick the best questions and send them off to Eden forthwith.
We’ll post the answers hopefully before or on launch. Get cracking.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 launches on February 8 in the US and February 11 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC.

I don’t want to be the person who brings other racing series into things…but I can’t help it. So…
The racing genre seems to be suddenly undergoing a mini renaissance, what with GT5 just released, Forza 4 this year, and now Shift looking to muscle in on the simulation genre. Even though TDU2 isn’t strictly a simulator, what do you think has suddenly driven (ho ho ho) this surge of more realisic racers?

1. How much fan input have you used for the game? Most fans are concerned about the handling of the cars being improved, so did you take this into consideration?
2. What’s the best feature in the whole game and why?
3. Why isn’t there a demo and why wasn’t there a console beta?

lookin forward to release day. my question is will there be any plans in the future to release the pre-order cars as dlc? theres alot of people who would like more than one of the pre-order’s.
and it was mention’d that bikes may be added at a later date as dlc. has there been any development in this matter?
thank you very much

In light of the recent PS3 security breach that has crippled online play for the likes of Modern Warfare 2 and Demon’s Souls, what’s being done to ensure PS3 players have a solid, robust online experience?

Will European gamers be subsidising a budget launch in the US again?

What are the ways you’ll be able to socialise with other racers, can you set up a big street race with just your friends, can you chill in your crib watching Fast & Furious then after go for a race around town?

Two questions:
I enjoyed the first game on 360. Why was the decision made not to increase the number of vehicles (players and AI) on the screen from 8?
Since the game was delayed, will motorcycles come with the game or at least be free DLC at a later date?

Why was the decision made to include a storyline? How will it work?

Will there be custom soundtracks on the PC and consoles? There’s nothing like cruising to your own tunes and changing radio stations with your controller.

Anyone got anything else to add to this? I’m sending off questions to Namco at the end of the week.
