Bloodline Champions officially launches

Funcom has just confirmed that Bloodline Champions has officially launched.

The free-to-play arena fantasy PvP game is all about skill, with no levelling: just fighting.

“Launching a game is always a special time for us here at Funcom,” says Funcom's Morten Larssen.

“Bloodline Champions is unique in its approach to the PVP genre, and it really shows that it is made by a devoted team with true love for gaming. This game demonstrates the exceptional results you can achieve with a relatively small but dedicated team like the great people working at Stunlock Studios.”

The game was beta tested by more than 200,000 people, with client improvements from the process including an in-game store, "hundreds of achievements," and updated graphics engine, in-game voice support and more.

The launch has caught a few people off-guard today, and Funcom has said it's extended pre-order bonus awards for all purhcases until the February 1.
