Iwata appeared early on in the panel alongside producer Hideki Konno. The panel kicked off with footage of the game before Konno, and eventually Iwata, came out on stage. It seemed to be a live Iwata Asks.

Info revealed during the panel (via GoNintendo) included that animals now have polygonal eyes, so it could give more life to the animals.

The game also uses StreetPass mode, but it was confirmed that players did not have to game in order to use StreetPass features.

Some content will also save on 3DS itself rather then the SD card. You can also take pictures of your pets within the game, which will be viewable in 3D.

You can also share your favorite pictures via StreetPass.

The microphone and touch screen will also play a major part in Nintendogs + Cats, like Nintendogs on DS did. Pets will also remember owners faces as well as be able to tell different faces apart.

It's also been reported that during the panel, it was mentioned that you can use AR cards to bring your pets into real-life.

It was also revealed that such other animals like dolphins and horses were thought about, but it was decided to go with cats because due to their popularity.

Level 5 panel holds nothing of significance

Before Nintendogs + Cats, Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino appeared to show off the company's upcoming 3DS backlog.

It included trailers of Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney with Capcom, Time Travelers, Inazuma Eleven 4 and more, to name a few.

Some of the trailers are thought to be old, though. The trailers for Inazuma Eleven 4 and Fantasy Life that were shown at the panel are below.

StreetPass gets detailed further

As well as dropping a couple of features for it during the Nintendogs + Cats panel, more details for StreetPass also emerged.

For StreetPass Legend, Miis will be able to go out on small adventures. It'll also involve Miis getting exchanged during StreetPass and that you'll be able to play certain titles with them.

For the main StreetPass, you'll have Mii and profile exchanges, as well as see the profile of the last person who has a 3DS who by you. You'll also be able to see what was the last game they played.

Thanks, GoNintendo.
