THQ have been extremely coy with release date information for Dawn of War II - Retribution, but antipodean gamers can now draw firm red circles on their calendars. The stand-alone expansion launches in Australia on March 2.

According to Gamespot, you can fork out AUD $59.95 for a Collector's Edition, and you'll score some art cards, a poster, and a an early unlock of abilities and equipment.

If you're after a digital copy, the Steam version is set to release a day earlier. A pre-order will net you a bonus set of equipment for your chosen race.

Playable even if you've eschewed the core game, Retribution shifts focus from the Space Marines and onto Orks, Tyranids, Eldar et al.

It also brings back some of the much-bemoaned missing base-building mechanics, for fans outraged by the action-bent of the core release.
