DC Universe Online alert trailer introduces the city of Bludhaven, new screens as well

SOE has put out a new video for DC Universe Online, which introduces players to Bludhaven.

It's sort of like  Gotham, but with a much more twisted past.

Apparently, a "huge techno-monster" named Chemo was dropped on the city and exploded, thus causing all sorts of pollution and contaminating the citizenry, and mutating it horribly.

In order to contain it, a force field was put up, and now both heroes and villains are being sent into it. It's basically an instance, or an "alert" as they are called in the game.

DC Universe Online ended its beta on Wednesday evening with the Battle of the Legends event, and will go live in the US on January 11 and the UK on January 14.
