Second The Tester champion decided

Season two of Sony's PlayStation-Network distributed TV show The Tester has wound up, with one lucky contestent not walking home with prizes, but instead staying on at SCEA San Diego as a quality assurance tester.

Matthew Brown, better known by his chosen soubriquet Gaymer, will also pocket USD $5,000 and a limited edition PlayStation 3 signed by the seaon's cast.

Gaymer battled his way through seven episodes to oust 11 hopefuls for the single position. The final challenge, against the bearded Scooter, was a tense, fiercely-contested battle which might have gone either way right up to the final moments.

In an interview on the US PlayStation Blog, Gaymer described working for Sony as his dream job. He earned his place via a series of mostly competitive gaming challenges, and is now on the first step of a journey which may lead to producing and project managing major releases, or even heading up studios. Both seasons of The Tester are available for free to US PlayStation Network account holders.
