Official GT5 wheel detailed further, out now for £450/€500

Sony’s gone into detail overload on the Thrustmaster T500 RS, the second steering wheel to be officially supported for Gran Turismo 5.
Polyphony boss Kazunori Yamauchi said he challenged the lot behind the peripheral to give an experience that suited users with Gran Turismo 5.
“The goal that I set for the Thrustmaster team was to design for me the most precise wheel ever developed, without any latency, to accurately reproduce the sensations of GT5, and let users truly feel the emotions experienced by drivers on real racing circuits.”
There’s a video of it from the EU PS Blog below.
The wheel launches today in Europe for £449.99/€499.99.
There’s a video here of Inside Sim Racing unboxing it from yesterday.

I see a lot of people complaining about the price. But compared to BRD and TSW wheels, this wheel is a bargain.

You could buy an actual car for that amount: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201052376174614/sort/pricedesc/usedcars/price-to/500/radius/1500/page/3/quicksearch/true/postcode/bn11aa?logcode=p

I think they’ve gone too far when a peripheral costs more than the console itself.

the price is fairly high, but for what it delivers its a very good price. Sounds and looks like the best wheel out, but #4 has a point..

If you have/will have this overpriced bullsh!t you need to re-evaluate your priorities. Seriously, go give to charity or something. I am literally outraged by the price of this PERIPHERAL.
