Sengoku Basara: Chronicle Heroes destined for PSP

Sengoku Basara, Capcom's Dynasty Warriors rival, is apparently heading back to PSP with the newly-revealed Chronicle Heroes.

The information comes courtesy of one of the editors of Japan's Dengeki media network, says Siliconera, along with a June 4 release date for a film adaptation based on the franchise.

The title sugest the new game is a follow up or spin off of the previous PSP incarnation, Battle Heroes.

Sengoku Basara, also known as Devil Kings outside Japan, is a multi-platform, button-mashing brawler set in the Sengoku era of Japanese history.

Reinterpreting historical figures in an over-the-top fashion, it is often compared to Omega Force's Warriors franchise. The most recent release was October's Sengoku Basara: Samurai Warriors, the third core entry, for PlayStation 3 and Wii.
