Koumajou Densetsu II released, is love letter to Castlevania

Don’t let the unfamiliar name put you off; one look at Koumajou Densetsu II is enough to convince that you’ve seen it somewhere before. Frontier Aja’s extraordinary homage to the Castlevania series needs little in the way of introductions.
While the available PC demo is Japanese-only, GameSetWatch has it that the full game comes complete with both English and French translations.
You won’t need language skills to navigate the demo anyway, providing you’ve played any of Konami’s early Castlevania titles, because this doujin (amateur or fan) production makes no bones of its clone status.
The game was released at the Comiket in Tokyo; there’s a gameplay trailer below.

Looks nifty, I hope it gets a release on some western digital distribution outlets. Though I wonder why that guy hates candles and torches so much…

Oh, hello! This looks rather excellent – the 2D HD Castlevania that Konami seem rather reluctant to make, almost. I shall download that and give it a whirl!

Nice to see something from the “Touhou” universe here.
Does anybody know whether the second game is just as hard as the first one?
