Stacking gameplay movies signify flat-faced doll-based win

Gamespot's posted up four direct-feed movies of Doublefine's Stacking, the downloadable, Matryoshka-based adventure which is about as sure to be an instant classic as the sun is to come up tomorrow.

Stacking's story sees young chimney sweep Charlie Blackmore on a quest to reunite his family "after they’ve been forced into indentured servitude by an evil industrialist," according to the developer.

Gameplay revolves around dolls stacking inside each other to solve puzzles. The new movies show gameplay and a cut-scene, showing off both the stacking mechanic and the game's turn of the Century stylings.

Stacking was announced at the end of November.

It's lovely. Watch below. It's out this spring for 360 and PS3.
