RUSE PC played with Kinect, future mere moments away
Evoluce, a German multi-touch display manufacturer, has used a Kinect hack to play the PC version RUSE with nothing more than gestures. Does it work? Yes, it does.
Watch the video below.
The right hand controls cursor movement, with the left hand being introduced as a left mouse button command for unit selection, giving orders, and so forth.
There’s no doubt that this guy is properly playing an RTS, precision movements and all, using his hands in the air.
Watch and see. Nice to see Kinect hacks being used for actual games, rather than controlling a metal donkey, or whatever.

Yay, another story about hackers showing Microsoft what the Kinnect is really capable of. Now let’s hope Microsoft fucking start paying attention & develop this shit for their console& not just keep churning out partyware.

Also, i always thought a WWII shooter would use Kinect Nazi salute first, not a WWII RTS.

Yeah, that seems like alot of work with the gestures. A mouse can still do that alot quicker with less effort. A looks fun for a moment, but I can imagine that getting old very quickly.

Just like menu navigation; Its fun for a moment, but you can do it faster and with less effort with a pad.
