CityVille attracts largest ever Facebook audience

cityville2

Merely a month from release, Zynga's CityVille has attracted the biggest monthly active user count out of any Facebook game or app, tapping into an audience of over 84.2 million monthly players.

Zynga's "other" game, FarmVille, was the previous owner of the record, recording 83.8 million monthly users in March 2010, nine months after its debut on the site, according to a report from Inside Social Games.

Farmville's audience now stands at 58 million, following Facebook's crackdown on "notification spam".

CityVille is the fikrst Zynga game to launch in multiple languages - English, German, Italian, Spanish, and French versions are all availably.
