Angry Birds hits PS3, PSP this week

Sony’s confirmed that iPhone mega-hit Angry Birds will release on PSN this week.
The Rovio smash will release on PSP and PS3 as part of the minis collection, beginning tomorrow in the US.
It’ll go live on Wednesday as part of the EU store update.
Prices weren’t disclosed.
Angry Birds was first published for iPhone in December 2009 and soon went to Android near the end of last year. Since then, it’s been downloaded 50 million times.
XBLA and Wii versions are also in the pipeline.
Thanks, US PS Blog.

sweet Jesus, it utterly baffles me why this is so successful, i just find it completely tedious and frustrating. Admittedly a haven’t managed to beat more then 20% of the game because i find that it sides way too much on blind random luck to complete levels as there just isn’t enough precision involved. Its like a poor mans Peggle (a game which sides on the right side of luck and precision)
‘flight control’ and ‘cut the rope’ are well crafted well designed little games that has and would translate well with an up scale to home console
i can’t wait for the poorly crafted angry bird to die (hopefully before the feature film hits cinemas)

Will be interesting to see how this differs from touch on the iPhone to traditional controls on console. I love it on the iPhone because its simple and intuitive. Hope it doesn’t become too fussy.

@3 Not sure, but it won’t have Trophies thats for sure. I wish Sony would add them into Minis. Would sure shift some more too.
