Dead Space 1 saves unlock original plasma cutter for sequel

EA's confirmed that Dead Space 1 save files carried over to Dead Space 2 will unlock the original's plasma cutter in the sequel.

According to Visceral programmer Louis Gascoigne, any save file - complete or uncomplete - will do the job.

Dead Space 2 launches on January 25 in the US and January 28 in Europe on PS3, 360 and PC. A demo is out now on PSN and Live.
