Resistance 3 has just been dated for September 6, 2011.

The date is at the end of the shooter's VGA trailer, which featured a mix of live-action and real-time gameplay with main character Joe Capelli and Dr. Malikov.

It looked amazing. Give it a watch below.

The Insomniac shooter sequel was first announced at gamescom in August.
