Resistance 3 already playable start to finish, says Insomniac

Resistance 3 is already playable from start to finish, a full 8 months ahead of its release, developer Insomniac has said.

Speaking on GAF,  James Stevenson, Community Manager for the developer said, "I think... and we have to be careful about discussing exactly where we are in dev... but we totally have a lot of content done (2 years of dev so far) w/ a lot of polishing to go.

"The game is playable start to finish on disc, which is pretty insane for an Insomniac game w/ this much time left."

Stevenson also answered a few other questions, saying 3D and Move support are yet to be decided.

He also discussed the multiplayer on the PS Blog, saying: "It's new, improved. It’s a more focused experience, progression-based, and takes place in maps located around the world."

You can check out the new trailer for the shooter here. Resistance 3 releases on September 6, 2011 in the US for PS3.
