Mass Effect 3 announced at VGAs
“2 million dead by the first day. Another 7 million by the end of the first week.”
Mass Effect 3′s just been announced at the VGAs.
Reapers have found Earth, we’re in London, there’s a sniper dude on Big Ben with Shepard overlooking on Earth. Not much else.
Unofficially, after weeks and weeks of speculation which culminated in speculation, the game was leaked on the EA Store for PS3, 360 and PC.
Officially, though, no platforms. It’s out next holiday season.

Awesome…the end of the trailer with the huge enemy ships or whatever they were, it looked awesome!!!!!! 2011 is gonna be insane…truly insanely good for gamers, poor wallet though,lol.

Just me or it looks like Resistance in the future? seriuosly, giant robots, earth occupied, aliens, they don’t know where from, sounds familiar?
anyway, it even starts a new storyline, except it has Sheperd in it, big deal, might as well call it a new ip..

The VO sounds a lot like Dominic Keating (most notable for Enterprise last Star Trek TV show he was the security chief)
Looks cool, you knew pretty much you would be recruiting an armada in ME3 during ME2 given all the hints.

Nice trailer, but the plot sounds horribly generic and obvious. TBH, while the gameplay does seem to be getting better from game to game I’ve found the actual narrative weakening since ME itself.
Still, early days so I’ll be optimistic.

You know I do hope people realise that the red herring could most likely mean that this trailer could be a red herring

Most of the game will be in space with earth featuring in the beginning and end of course. The MP segment will probably be set on earth so they don’t have to shoehorn various world elements there. But yeah I doubt they’d drop the space exploration to set the whole story on Earth. It’ll be Earth-centric but probably a lot of missions to go to other places for help and other stuff and other missions before the final one

@7: Those big ships are reapers. No spoilers but they make a significant contribution to ME.
@13: If you have ME2, do yourself a favor and play the Game of the Year. It’s a fantastic experience.
