Rumour: PSP2 graphics comparable to early PS3 titles

PSP2's graphics are said to be comparable to that of early PlayStation 3 titles.

That's according to a report from IGN.

"As far as graphics are concerned, the PSP 2 is a beast, packing enough processing hardware to produce graphics comparable to early PlayStation 3 titles," according to the site.

"The processor, we're told, is just over half as powerful as the PS3, though the specific framework of the cores and the clock speed was not revealed."

IGN also says that PSP2 is also said to have concave analog sticks instead of convex.

Last month, VG247 went live with the first dev kit shots of PSP2, and is rumoured to release in time for christmas next year.

Analyst Michael Pachter said earlier this week the new portable would be "dead on arrival".
