Assassin’s Creed survey asks about possible innovations for next iteration

Ubisoft has put out a survey in conjunction with Global Market Insite which asks participants a number of questions reagding possible innovations for the next addition in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
We didn’t qualify for the survey, but Eurogamer did, and reports the survey contains information regarding customization options, crafting, and the game’s lead character.
- The survey also asked “to what degree” players would like to see the following possible implementations:
- An upgrade to the assassin’s blade that increases the fluidity and speed of free-running
- An enhanced Eagle Vision: see the patrol paths of guards, spot clues to complex navigation puzzles, detect when characters are lying during interrogations, etc.
- An intuitive crafting tool that lets you create custom bombs from dozens of ingredients found throughout the game world
- Tactical use of a variety of bombs suited to unique contexts and situations (smoke, poison, flash, explosive, etc.)
- An additional objective where you and your Assassins guild fight against the Templars to gain control of a city, district by district
- Playing as a new Assassin, in a different historical time period
- A continuation of Ezio’s story as the leader of the Assassins, set outside of Italy
- Deeper connectivity between all the Assassin’s Creed projects (eg. an action you make on the Facebook game will impact your game experience on the console; events that you read about in the comics will be related to the storyline of the videogames, etc.)
- Online Cooperative Mode
- Offline Cooperative Mode
- The availability of new maps for the Multiplayer
- A choice of additional Multiplayer characters with new skill-sets
- Playing new Multiplayer modes
- A deeper team-based Multiplayer experience (guilds / squads that have common objectives, new tools for clan management, etc.)
- A customization of the Multiplayer experience (logos, avatars, objects, team names, etc.)
Ubisoft plans on releasing another Assassin’s Creed title in 2011, so some of these innovation may make it into the game.
Make sure your opinion is taken into account through here.

I really, really hope that AC3 will take place outside of Italy. The french revolution would be pretty cool.

I’d love to see an Assasins in the Russian Revolution. lots of scope for epic battles and good historical source material to work from.

-2-3 Times a week
-PS3, Xbox360, Other Video Game System, PC
-Same Selection As Above
Then it starts asking you what games you own/ have bought in the past 12 months, i basically did all of them cause i actually do
then pretty straightforward from there,

I think people have the wrong idea about the demographic issue. As opposed to the survey company not wanting to hear what you have to say it’s far more likely they’ve already reached the quota for said demographic.
If you say you’re female but answer everything else as before, chances as you’ll get in. I’m not entirely sure why you’d want to, though; it’s just a survey, the interesting part of which you can read above.

I’d like to see them improve the platforming… to something like the no fail system in enslaved.
If there was one thing about ac2 that bothered was lining up the camera for each jump… it’s freaking infuriating.

I hope the next Assassin’s Creed isn’t Assassin’s Creed III
I hope it’s some how a spin off.I don’t want them to end the franchise too fast, they can bring the final installment of the trilogy in 2012 or around that time.

Ubi will never end it. They’re in the business of running with a franchise till it stops selling, i doubt we’ll ever see a real ending to AC just like we’ll never see one to Splinter Cell. I would say the same thing about PoP but thats one Ubi has ran into the ground to the point where no one is interested anymore.

I’d like to be able to drop a smoke bomb off a roof etc. and into a crowd of guards before dropping down with the poison jab only to slink away and watch the fun. There could be more guards too.
