Ubisoft combats Michael Jackson DS piracy with vuvuzelas

vuvuzela

Sorry, did we end up in the TARDIS and go back in time? Is this June again? Is the World Cup still on?

Ubisoft’s latest tactic to combat piracy is through the infamous annoying-as-fuck plastic horns via Michael Jackson: The Experience on DS.

The horns play over Jackson’s songs when trying to play through the game. Oh, and the on-screens prompts are locked out too.

Incredible. If you haven’t heard what a vuvuzela sounds like, you may want to click this. Or under the circumstances, don’t.

Thanks, MCV.

Jeez Ubisoft, Why’d you go steal my ‘Vuvuzela renditions of Michael Jackson songs album’ idea?

Hahaha i can’t hate on this, hilarious move by Ubi. @ 7 , you obviously are just hating. Even folks who just don’t dig his music much always at least know one or two songs they can apreciate. I doubt you dislike all of them.

Music is all about opinions and I don’t like MJ music.

One of the best original anti-piracy initiatives I’ve seen. Brilliant, Ubisoft. Well done indeed. :D
