The Beatles: Rock Band discounted to £4.99 at HMV

Maybe this didn’t work out quite as planned.
HMV’s selling both the 360 and PS3 version of The Beatles: Rock Band for £4.99, as you can see here.
The game had sold around 1.7 million units worldwide by the end of 2009, according to NPD, having released in September last year. Around 1.18 million of that figure was sold in the US.
Viacom said earlier this month that it’s to sell Rock Band studio Harmonix. No buyer has been named as yet.

If ever a videogame genre has been milked to death in such a short space of time it has been this.
Harmonix you are to blame!

If anyone is to blame, it’s going to most likely be Activision.
At least Harmonix has tried new things to keep it fresh.

Actually, if you’re not picky about it being brand new, you can get it for a tenner pre-owned on 360.
