Trapped Dead releasing in January with a demo hitting next month

Meridian4 has announced it is to release Headup Games’ real-time strategy title Trapped Dead to PC users in January.

The game is set during the early ‘80s in a small, rural town near Kansas City, where a local viral outbreak has infected the citizens and transformed them into "a horde of blood-thirsty zombies".

Unfortunately for two college fellas on a road trip, their arrival in the town results in them fighting to survive.

Inspired by horror-films from the '80s, the game is delivered in a third-person isometric view across a variety of environments such as the mall, junk yards and jail which are all filled with traps. Players will use a number of weapons and gadgets to fight for survival whether playing alone or in four-player co-op.

A Trapped Dead demo is expected to be available next month, with the complete game ready for download in January 2011.

Check out the game's official website here.

Thanks, BigDownload.
