Hardcore mode coming to Minecraft soon

minecraft

Every death is the end of the world. Literally.

Tom Francis, author for PC Gamer has been experimenting with Minecraft. He’s decided to take the game’s Survival mode to the next level and created a strange rule for himself where every death results in the deletion of the current world and the creation of a new one.

The concept’s caught Minecraft creator Notch’s attention too – he’s now confirmed that a Hardcore mode will be introduced in the game soon.

“I’m definitely going to add hHardcore mode to the game where dying will destroy the world,” he wrote.

“I’m not sure how it would work in multiplayer, though. Perhaps you could get ‘banned’ from the server until the world resets if you die on a server running Hardcore mode.”

Minecraft now has almost 2 million registered users.

I like the idea of the Hardcore mode.

You are exploring caves… Mining… and OMG there is Lava…. BOOM.. world is destroyed :D your 20 chests full of obsidian. iron, gold with armor and huge buildings are all wasted :D

The Minecraft roguelike. Interesting :p

Best game ever though. I’m stuck on a shitty laptop that can’t run it properly, and every day I die a little inside.
