It is awesome I know that guys. I’ve been drooling over the you tube vids for weeks but $50 just for this beta when you still have to pony up $60 in two more months? Not really worth it. I could see if this was JULY than hell yea. But at least “I” can wait don’t know about others.

Still have NFS,GT5,SW Unleashed,COD:BO, and others to keep me busy.

Except for graphics. It has the worst graphics in this generation FPS games in most cases compare to RAGE and e.t.c.

I could bet he has the most expensive graphics card, the most powerful procesor & 32gb of ram in his computer rig, so probably $2000 for a better picture? i would rather wait 5 years & pay $500 & put up with average graphics in the mean time, aslong as it works i’m fine, but he can’t comprehend that.When he ay worst graphics this gen, he’s probably trying to say compared to pc versions…

So you would know. Alpha build means that the core design is done and they can’t remove anything except of adding few graphical effects or patch it.

The game is done. The real version is in the Guerrilla headquarters where they test it. It’s done and it looks like a horrible piece of crap from the last generation with HUGE amount of post processing effects that are done by Cell Microprocessor.

From the software development it is a massive failure. the game is done and there are tons of gameplay trailers out there.

I’ll say this. I own and love both PS3, X360, and also do a fair amount of PC gaming with a GTX465, trust me i’m a graphics whore as much as the next guy.

Personally, I think KZ3 beta graphics are SO good, they make Halo Reach look last gen. But to say KZ3 looks last gen is unwarranted and just plain stupid.

Been playing the multiplayer a little and even in Alpha it looks better then many other high profiled online games. It beats Black Ops back to the stone ages on that part….

I was one of the *few* who got a code & to my shame I’ve played it once… New Vegas just eats up my time! My only gripe is that its a bit grim, a bit of colour would be nice. Ok I know its a war ravaged industrial shit hole, just saying is all. Oh & way are the light machine guns so weak? Using half my clip to down a guy is not cool, if the little fuck only needs to tag me once with a shotgun :/

I think Resistance 2 have the worst graphics as a “big title” in this gen.

I liked KZ2, can’t wait for the 3rd one.

I don’t think those pics do the game justice tbf. I’ve played the beta & in motion Killzone is stunning. Sure its not crisp & clean, its dirty, grimy & visceral. The smoke and lighting effects really nail the inner city warzone vibe & I look forward to the snow levels. More importantly the gameplay is tighter & more responsive. Once Guerilla add the final polish Killzone will knock you out your socks.

thats the only thing that is done right in the game, by using LOTS of post processing effects…
but other stuff just looks bland as hell, it’s like they optimized it for 3D or something else.

@31 Totally agree, in motion the Killzone beta is really good, really puts you *in* the game. But as I’ve said before, just wish their was a bit more colour.

BTW, they have these explosions. Maybe i will make a Youtube video, but it’s hard to capture it and it’s not that really noticeable really.

2D explosions there is because of Post Processing effects. There are so much smoke, snow that use CPU too hard that makes everything else look like shit.

solid game with shitty engine. Nothing more. Animations only look like current gen, everything else like explosions and e.t.c. looks “bland and outdated”. But even Black Ops is 50-60 frames per second with decent design compared to Killzone 3.

thats really cool, but i really don’t care about engine and graphics in the RPG genre. What is important that Obsidian should do a sequel to Fallout game and not Bethesda (except Bethesda should do a testing job)

If RAGE engine (Id Tech 4) and Obsidian writers could make a Fallout game than this could be a masterpiece.

Fucking EXCELLENT multiplayer game! I do believe I will have to get platinum in it when time comes.
It’s so much fun, and I love the new stuff like CQB, unlock points, jetpacks, vehicles etc.!
