Free trial period of Final Fantasy XIV extended once more

ffxiv

Square Enix has extended its free trial of Final Fantasy XIV for another 30 days.

This will give players plenty of time to explore the new updated being added to the game on November 25.

“We are adamant that you should be given the opportunity to experience these changes firsthand before deciding to fully commit to the game,” said the company on the game’s official website. “We encourage everyone to view today’s post, as well as the previous Topics post from November 11 outlining the development team’s roadmap for the coming months.”

Square’s senior vice president of software development, Hiromichi Tanaka,  said previously gamers had a “high expectation” for the game and the firm was working hard to ensure it ends up being all it was expected to be.

Back in October, the game was given a 30 day free extension due to the state of the game.

This new free trial extension is available to all who registered a FFXIV service account and purchase a character by November 19.

The PS3 version is out in March next year.

Thanks, Eurogamer.

It’s not even that, it’s just not a very good game.

@2, I was referring to the fact that they seem to be trying to “patch it better” post-launch when they should’ve run extended betas.

Oh boy… what a messy launch…
They REALLY should have postponed the game’s release : at least it would have given them a chance to get some interest and good/average reviews.

Now, with all this mess, they are loosing all potential interest from all players, even die-hard fans
